After you build and inject Illegalcord, use this walkthrough to confirm that the client is loaded and configure the basics.
1

Open Illegalcord Settings

Open Discord User Settings. Find the Illegalcord Settings section added by the required Settings plugin.
2

Check the main tab

Open Illegalcord. Use quick actions for Notification Log, Edit QuickCSS, Relaunch Discord, Open Settings Folder, and View Source Code when they are available for your build target.
3

Enable a plugin

Open Plugins. Search by name, description, acronym, tag, or type. The filter can show stock plugins, Equicord plugins, Illegalcord plugins, enabled plugins, disabled plugins, new plugins, and API plugins.
4

Edit QuickCSS or add a theme

Open Themes. Use QuickCSS for small local CSS changes, or add theme files and theme links depending on your target.
5

Back up your configuration

Open Backup & Restore. Export all settings, plugin settings, QuickCSS, or DataStore data before testing large changes.

First plugin ideas

Try small, reversible plugins before enabling a large stack:
Plugins with Webpack patches may require a restart when toggled. The Plugins tab shows a restart prompt when a change cannot be applied live.
  1. Export a backup from Backup & Restore.
  2. Enable one plugin or theme at a time.
  3. Restart Discord if the UI asks for it.
  4. If something breaks, disable the last change or restore your backup.
Illegalcord settings are local to your client unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
