Illegalcord adds a dedicated settings section to Discord through src/plugins/_core/settings.tsx. The section title is Illegalcord Settings, and the entries are built from the local source at runtime.

Illegalcord

Main client settings, quick actions, notification settings, QuickCSS access, source link, and desktop window options.

Plugins

Search, filter, enable, disable, and configure bundled plugins from src/plugins, src/equicordplugins, and src/userplugins.

Themes

Manage QuickCSS, local themes, theme links, theme reloads, and theme activation behavior.

Updater

Configure update behavior when the updater is available for the build target.

Changelog

Review project changes from inside Discord.

Cloud

Sync settings through the configured cloud backend when cloud integration is enabled.

Backup & Restore

Import or export all settings, plugin settings, QuickCSS, or DataStore data as JSON.

Patch Helper

Developer-only patch tooling shown in supported non-standalone builds.

Main client settings

The Illegalcord tab contains project-level options. Available options vary by build target, but the local source includes:
Some settings require a restart because they affect Electron window creation or build-time behavior.

Plugin settings

Plugins expose settings through definePluginSettings from @api/Settings. A plugin card shows a cog wheel when the plugin has settings. The Plugins tab also tracks restart-required changes. If you toggle a plugin with Webpack patches, the UI asks you to restart so the patch state stays consistent.

Backups

Use Backup & Restore before testing many plugins or themes. You can import or export:
Importing a backup overwrites matching local settings. Export first if you want a restore point.
