Illegalcord includes privacy-oriented plugins and settings, but it cannot make Discord anonymous. Discord still receives the normal traffic needed for messages, voice, media, authentication, and account state.

What to inspect

Search the Plugins tab for:

Practical privacy steps

1

Read plugin source

Privacy plugins are security-sensitive. Review the source folder before enabling one.
2

Use local backups

Export settings from Backup & Restore before changing privacy-related plugins.
3

Check plugin settings

Use the cog wheel on plugin cards to review defaults and scope.
4

Avoid untrusted forks

Build from source you control. Never run a plugin or binary that you cannot audit.

Limits

Illegalcord can change local client behavior and block or modify some client-side actions. It cannot:
  • Hide your account from Discord’s servers.
  • Prevent Discord from processing messages you send.
  • Guarantee anonymity.
  • Make abusive automation safe or acceptable.
  • Protect you from code you install without reviewing.
Treat privacy plugins as local controls, not as a promise of anonymity. Use Discord and client mods at your own risk.
